Heartbeat of Love

Heartbeat of Love

written by Donna Godwin 2013

When your feet

Touched the ground

They lit into a dance.

That became the drum beat of

Your heart

And the cry

From your lips.

alcohol ink exploding heart

Through the labor and pain

Of birth, life and death

To the joy ever after….

A love song

Covered in red

And wrapped in

Scarlet, purple and blue.

alcohol ink exploding heart

The colors of the veil

That are royal and true.

To be RENT,

SPLIT in two…

As His body was busted

And His blood poured out

It gives life to 7 billion

Some who wander about.

alcohol ink exploding heart

Arms flung wide open

In a torrent of love

A river of life

flowing from above.

Your eyes meet

Screaming into His…

And your heart beats

HIS song…

alcohol ink exploding heart

“ My Savior, My Lord,

I’ll love you now…

And forever

All eternity long.”

About godw1nz

I am the mom of three beautiful daughters, wife to a genius, sister to a teacher, sis-in-law to an engineer, daughter to a yankee and a rebel, and a woman chasing God. I love to read, draw and be with my family. If the reading inspires me, then I draw what I read. Almost everything I draw is based around or about Jesus Christ. I attend church at First United Methodist Hillsville. Ronnie Collins is my associate pastor, also a blogger here. I love the Lord with all my heart and I hope what you see here will inspire your heart.
