Day 1- Lord of the Harvest

Standard

This is the first painting of the 40 day journey.

My imagination was not seeing this, but the Holy Spirit was.  Ha!

Matthew 9: 35-38

Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area,

teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom.

And he healed every kind of disease and illness.

36 When he saw the crowds,

he had compassion on them

because they were confused and helpless,

like sheep without a shepherd.

37 He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few.

38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest;

ask him to send more workers into his fields.”

My prayer:

Lord, send them one by one, two by two, twenty by twenty, don’t hold back.  Take your finger and touch hearts, meld them and mold them into a shepherd’s heart filled with compassion and love for all of mankind.  Then flood the earth with Your workers so that not one will be lost.

Pour out Your Spirit….

Amen.

About godw1nz

I am the mom of three beautiful daughters, wife to a genius, sister to a teacher, sis-in-law to an engineer, daughter to a yankee and a rebel, and a woman chasing God. I love to read, draw and be with my family. If the reading inspires me, then I draw what I read. Almost everything I draw is based around or about Jesus Christ. I attend church at First United Methodist Hillsville. Ronnie Collins is my associate pastor, also a blogger here. I love the Lord with all my heart and I hope what you see here will inspire your heart.
