clergy meeting

Today I had the honor of speaking at our District Clergy meeting.  During the meeting I handed out paper and markers to everyone and told them to draw a box on the paper.  Any size, anywhere.  I wanted to get them to think outside of the lines of the box and I asked them to doodle while I was talking.  To my surprise- many did!  Smile

My dear friend, Rhonda, gave this to me after the meeting.  She did the devotion and the communion for the meeting.  I loved her message about birds!  I told her that I needed to add birds into my art and I gave her a copy of the “ Throne Room” artwork.  It has a tree and some birds on it.

Anyway- she gave me this drawing and it reminded me of a dream I had last week.  I was being pushed through a portal, or a hole, and when I came out on the other side I burst out in colors with life and light.  My friend Kathy was standing there waiting for me.  It was like she was the midwife and I was the baby being born.  I think Rhonda’s drawing is prophetic of what God is doing-birthing total surrender and trust inside of me.

Shalom, Peace, Love, Hope, Joy and Freedom!

We are His beloved sons and daughters and He wants us to live in peace and joy and spend our lives living in love for Him.  There is no greater love than His for us and our surrender to it.

About godw1nz

I am the mom of three beautiful daughters, wife to a genius, sister to a teacher, sis-in-law to an engineer, daughter to a yankee and a rebel, and a woman chasing God. I love to read, draw and be with my family. If the reading inspires me, then I draw what I read. Almost everything I draw is based around or about Jesus Christ. I attend church at First United Methodist Hillsville. Ronnie Collins is my associate pastor, also a blogger here. I love the Lord with all my heart and I hope what you see here will inspire your heart.
