My modernist/abstract wave

Standard

I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way

– things I had no words for.

Georgia O’Keeffe

sigh.

These colors have been building in me for awhile.

I have been “seeing” an outpouring of Living Water all around me-in my mind, in others, in the church, community, on FB, my family, strangers, and on and on.  I see it everyplace I go-and to me that is like seeing God everywhere I go.

So, how do you see God in a wave?
like this….

Job 9:8

He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea…

Lamentation’s 3:22-23

The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
23 Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!”

All colors of blue take me to John 7:37-38

On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! 38 Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’

Revelation 22 talks about water too….

“Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.”

Ezekiel 47 talks about the river of healing….

In my vision, the man brought me back to the entrance of the Temple. There I saw a stream flowing east from beneath the door of the Temple and passing to the right of the altar on its south side. 2 The man brought me outside the wall through the north gateway and led me around to the eastern entrance. There I could see the water flowing out through the south side of the east gateway.

Can you see it?

Can you hear it?

Can you smell it?

Do you desire it?

Step in,

take a deep long drink,

splash around and rejoice in the One who lives in YOU!

About godw1nz

I am the mom of three beautiful daughters, wife to a genius, sister to a teacher, sis-in-law to an engineer, daughter to a yankee and a rebel, and a woman chasing God. I love to read, draw and be with my family. If the reading inspires me, then I draw what I read. Almost everything I draw is based around or about Jesus Christ. I attend church at First United Methodist Hillsville. Ronnie Collins is my associate pastor, also a blogger here. I love the Lord with all my heart and I hope what you see here will inspire your heart.
