Release

Standard

This painting is all about releasing those things that hold us back.

We all have something that keeps us a certain distance away from who God wants us to be.  The key is discovering what that thing is and then releasing it.  When we release the things that bind us then we are truly set free.

There are scripture verses written around the edges of the clouds…

“It is for FREEDOM that Christ has set us free.” Galatians 5:1

“Release” Psalm 25:15

“FREE” Psalm 124

“Love” John 3:16

“ So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.” John 8:36

“ REJOICE with JOY”  1 Peter 1:18

“ASK and you will receive so that your JOY may be full.” John 16:24

God has given each of us a unique story to tell-it’s His story and our story revolves around His.  Our story is like a key that can help unlock another person and when we share it it has the ability to help open eyes and hearts so that they might receive the story of Christ.  Whether we realize it or even admit it- we are all connected by the blood of the One who came to save us.  Jesus Christ.  Some just haven’t experienced HIM yet.  Tell your story.  You can do it in a million different ways-in a letter, through a phone call, a homemade pie, a piece of art, a poem, a tie die shirt, a ball of yarn or just a smile.  Don’t keep what GOD has done inside of you to yourself.  It is to be shared!

Our release quickly turns to JOY UNSPEAKABLE….the figure in the painting is covered with the multicolored glory of God!  Arms wide, hands free and ready to receive all that God has…

it is our destiny to be free….

let it go…

so you can fly…

About godw1nz

I am the mom of three beautiful daughters, wife to a genius, sister to a teacher, sis-in-law to an engineer, daughter to a yankee and a rebel, and a woman chasing God. I love to read, draw and be with my family. If the reading inspires me, then I draw what I read. Almost everything I draw is based around or about Jesus Christ. I attend church at First United Methodist Hillsville. Ronnie Collins is my associate pastor, also a blogger here. I love the Lord with all my heart and I hope what you see here will inspire your heart.
