“So don’t be afraid: I’m with you.
I’ll round up all your scattered children,
pull them in from east and west.
I’ll send orders north and south:
‘Send them back.
Return my sons from distant lands,
my daughters from faraway places.
I want them back, every last one who bears my name,
every man, woman, and child
Whom I created for my glory,
yes, personally formed and made each one.'”

Janet Richardson is in Sudan with the Wytheville District mission team.
She posted this picture and these words on FB today:
Some of the children from the village we visited yesterday. Most if not all of these children have Malaria. Some of these children may not be alive in a few weeks.
I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.
What will you do?
Here is another piece of art from Harrison. He loves drawing for Corynn and I am glad that she inspires him and he has her to encourage him. They have never met, yet they are bonded together by the love of Christ. Isn’t that how God works? His love never fails.

1 Corinthians 12:12
Christ is like a single body, which has many parts; it is still one body, even though it is made up of different parts.
Our scripture today comes from 1 Corinthians 12:27 In this chapter we hear the Apostle Paul speaking to the people in the church at Corinth, teaching them about their gifts and encouraging them to use them to build up the church.
In verse 27 Paul says this: “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”
Here is what this means: The church is a body. That’s YOU! Jesus is the head of the church and every member is placed in the body as God sees fit. Each of you are unique in what you have been purposed by God to do. No two are alike. Each of you have different gifts and talents that are given to you to glorify God. Like puzzle pieces- we are all shaped differently.
The Holy Spirit lives in you and equips you with what you need to do the specific job that God has for you to do. God gives us what we need, when we need it. Then the body works together to build each other up in the knowledge and love of Christ. We need each other-what one member lacks-another member can supply.
Let me simplify this and let’s pretend we are a puzzle. When we get a puzzle it comes in a box. Pretend the box is the church. We open the box and there are many pieces inside. Not all pieces are the same shape or have the same design on them, but all are important and all fit together in a certain way to make a picture. If we are missing one piece-then the picture is incomplete, unfinished.
When we are all put together-the picture is complete and tells a story.
The body of Christ has a God story to tell.
Let’s put our pieces together and tell it!
Meet my “friend” Karen!
She is a breast cancer survivor!
This week we celebrated her recovery and her life in Christ!
I made her this little doll and I had so much fun….
I took her to school and dropped her off….
Karen was a little surprised and I remembered what it felt like to be a little mischievous…
We need to celebrate LIFE more often….
“Whoever is thirsty must come to me to drink. As Scripture says, ‘Streams of living water will flow from deep within the person who believes in me.’”
