How we change…

When I am watching tv I quite often doodle or sketch.   Last night I was watching AMAZING GRACE…and I was thinking about the events of this past Sunday when we did cardboard testimonies.  One of my friends experienced great release from her burdens that day and this is what I saw.

She is the bird.  The chains are her burden ( and the ball in the last picture).

When she confessed and gave her testimony the chain began to break away and she was freed forever…

Folks-this is what God wants for each of us- to be free from whatever it is that is keeping us from Him.  Only you and God know what it is.  Whatever it is, God wants to take it from you but you have to let it go.  When you do-this is what will happen…

There IS freedom in release.

bird and chain

It starts out in pencil…

breaking free 2012

then it gets inked…

breaking free 20121

and this one was computer edited –turned opposite and lettering was added.

Here is another version…all pencil

I love what I see God doing and I love what God has given me to do…to share what I see…

I love you all and I pray that all may know and experience the love of our Savior…

there’s no other love like His.

I am the mom of three beautiful daughters, wife to a genius, sister to a teacher, sis-in-law to an engineer, daughter to a yankee and a rebel, and a woman chasing God. I love to read, draw and be with my family. If the reading inspires me, then I draw what I read. Almost everything I draw is based around or about Jesus Christ. I attend church at First United Methodist Hillsville. Ronnie Collins is my associate pastor, also a blogger here. I love the Lord with all my heart and I hope what you see here will inspire your heart.
