Life is a journey

Here we are on top of Craggy Mountain.  To the left of Cort’s head is one of 6 tunnels that we went through. All had ice warnings and were extremely dark inside.  It was a little disconcerting entering one- even with the headlights on.  It gave new meaning to “there is light at the end of the tunnel…”    It was very cold and we were really bundled up!

This is a closer view of the clouds-how awesome is that?  You can see that the vegetation is quite different than here-things are not in bloom yet and the state of the trees were, well, craggy!  LOL

This is one of many curves we maneuvered!

Life is journey and all of our journeying should lead to God-does yours?

I hope so!

About godw1nz

I am the mom of three beautiful daughters, wife to a genius, sister to a teacher, sis-in-law to an engineer, daughter to a yankee and a rebel, and a woman chasing God. I love to read, draw and be with my family. If the reading inspires me, then I draw what I read. Almost everything I draw is based around or about Jesus Christ. I attend church at First United Methodist Hillsville. Ronnie Collins is my associate pastor, also a blogger here. I love the Lord with all my heart and I hope what you see here will inspire your heart.

  1. Love me some mountains. I love to visit the ocean, but I’ll always come back to the mountain. And yes that tunnel looks a little spooky–sort of like life–but we persevere through the tunnels and out into the LIGHT! Thanks for sharing!
