Remember Me

Moving In

I enter in

I fall to my weak knees

I crumble in a heap at the foot of the cross.

The cross where my Savior suffered for me. My mind is cluttered with sin.

My chest heaves with sobs of shame, guilt and repentence.

Distracted by a loveless world- I have forgotten who my first love is…

 the Lover of my soul.

As I lay in a sobbing , dirty mess at the foot of the cross,

I remember who my Lover is,

I remember what He said to me,

” Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do…”

I enter in…

I become One with the One who created me,

I bind myself to my True Love.

I sigh

grace pours over my moist face,

mercy fills my soul,

joy enters in,

and it is well.

I have moved in…

to commune with Him,

drinking from the cup of that which He gave us,

from the cup of which He instructed us to

“Remember Me.”

John 14:23-24

“Because a loveless world,” said Jesus, “is a sightless world. If anyone loves me, he will carefully keep my word and my Father will love him—we’ll move right into the neighborhood! Not loving me means not keeping my words. The message you are hearing isn’t mine. It’s the message of the Father who sent me.

About godw1nz

I am the mom of three beautiful daughters, wife to a genius, sister to a teacher, sis-in-law to an engineer, daughter to a yankee and a rebel, and a woman chasing God. I love to read, draw and be with my family. If the reading inspires me, then I draw what I read. Almost everything I draw is based around or about Jesus Christ. I attend church at First United Methodist Hillsville. Ronnie Collins is my associate pastor, also a blogger here. I love the Lord with all my heart and I hope what you see here will inspire your heart.
