Encouragement for Pastors

This is for all of those who spend thier lives preaching God’s Holy Word…my encouragement for you today through the scriptures.  Yes…your calling can be hard at times…rip your heart out hard…however God’s Word calls you to climb that mountain and raise your voice for God…Isaiah 40 says:   9-11

“Climb a high mountain, Zion.
You’re the preacher of good news.
Raise your voice. Make it good and loud, Jerusalem.
You’re the preacher of good news.
Speak loud and clear. Don’t be timid!
Tell the cities of Judah,
   “Look! Your God!”
Look at him! God, the Master, comes in power,
   ready to go into action.
He is going to pay back his enemies
and reward those who have loved him.
Like a shepherd, he will care for his flock,
gathering the lambs in his arms,
Hugging them as he carries them,
leading the nursing ewes to good pasture.”

YOU ARE THE PREACHERS OF GOOD NEWS!!  May I encourage you today to be like Jesus and gather the brokenhearted in your arms, the arms that the Lord Himself created…gather them up in the tender love of the Shepherd and embrace them with compassion of the Father who gave us His only Son and lead them home to Him…to their  Father the Father of Grace, Mercy and Love.  None of us are worthy of this grace, but God calls us all to receive it.  Freely He gives and it must be offered to all.  May God refill your hearts with His love as you go out of your homes, your offices, and your sanctuaries today and may His love compel you to offer all you meet the GOOD NEWS.  To speak in love, see the brokenness, offer to help pick up the pieces and set things aright again.  The world is crying out in desperation.  People are bitter, burdened, hopeless and have simply quit.   God calls you, the few and the called,  to do this work , to  “comfort His people…to speak tenderly”…to tell them that thier sins have been paid for…that they are worthy, that they are loved and that there IS life.   So, preachers and fellow workers of the Good News- I encourage you to see God in all the places that others aren’t, to reach out your hands, to BE CHRIST to all you meet today.   I encourage you to press on, to run the race, to walk by faith and not by sight.  God has divinely placed each and everyone of you right where you are for a reason.  To bring people to Christ.  Don’t ever give up-fan the flame that God placed in you. Keep it blazing high and hot.

Thank you for all you do, for who you are and for guarding the good deposit that God Himself placed in your hearts.  I appreciate you all so much and I know that God is looking down upon your beautiful heads and he is saying,” Well done, good and faith ful servant, well done.”  May God bless you and keep you today.

In Christ,

About godw1nz

I am the mom of three beautiful daughters, wife to a genius, sister to a teacher, sis-in-law to an engineer, daughter to a yankee and a rebel, and a woman chasing God. I love to read, draw and be with my family. If the reading inspires me, then I draw what I read. Almost everything I draw is based around or about Jesus Christ. I attend church at First United Methodist Hillsville. Ronnie Collins is my associate pastor, also a blogger here. I love the Lord with all my heart and I hope what you see here will inspire your heart.
