Biker season is upon us. When the weather gets warm all we want to do is ride. On these rides we meet a diverse group of people from all walks of life. Retirees, businessman and women, teachers, counselors, Pastors, ex-cons, sex offenders, mothers, grandmothers, druggies, hippies, black, yellow, white, orange and any other color you can come up with. A very unique and diverse group of people. There is an unspoken bond among bikers and when you are on two wheels with the road under you-you will experience this bond.
It is the bond of love. I believe every human being on earth , even the most hardcore, has the love of God in thier heart. Sometimes we need help finding it. Bikers quite often wear thier life experience and pain on the outside. We may look different, but inside we are all the same. All children of God – and we must pray to see one another with God’s eyes, not ours. Not one of us is perfect. But we serve One who was and still is! It is only through our personal repentance and the eternal love of Christ that we come to know this truth.
God is calling us all into His Kingdom.
Are we listening with His ears or with our own?
Are we opening our eyes to His Truth or the world?
Love is not an option.
It is a command. Let us LOVE one another. That’s it. All inclusive. Not one left out.
May God’s love fall upon you like a soft mist in the forest on a hot summer ride and may you accept His tender touch of mercy and grace and share it with all you meet from this day forward. They will know we are Christians by our love…
Colossians 3:17 (The Message)
15-17Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.
