Hobby or Harvest?

Standard

This post is in response to Ronnie’s message from SNL last night….Matthew 9- the harvest is ready-where are the workers?

One quote that he used was:  A lot of churches have become “hobby” churches”.  Are they winning people to Christ?

As professing Christians we are ALL responsible for doing this work…it is KINGDOM WORK-not hobby work.  It is serious and has serious consequences when we ignore this command.    We all have a mission field right around us…As you view this-think about where YOUR mission field is…your home? Your family? Your neighborhood? Town?  State?  Out of state?  International?  It could be anywhere…all we have to do is open our mouth and invite someone to come to know Christ.  Invite them to church, bible study, youth group, Sunday School, Choir,  UMW, Men’s bible study, Seniors, Tweenz, and on and on.  Just say, “come on!”

Now watch this video closely and read all the quotes and think about what they say…your heart will be convicted…God Bless…D.

About godw1nz

I am the mom of three beautiful daughters, wife to a genius, sister to a teacher, sis-in-law to an engineer, daughter to a yankee and a rebel, and a woman chasing God. I love to read, draw and be with my family. If the reading inspires me, then I draw what I read. Almost everything I draw is based around or about Jesus Christ. I attend church at First United Methodist Hillsville. Ronnie Collins is my associate pastor, also a blogger here. I love the Lord with all my heart and I hope what you see here will inspire your heart.
