Drawing Nearer to God

coloring-page-2Hi!  Today I am working on doing some worship art.  This is where you draw to music.  It has to be quick!  I have seen this done on YouTube and am working on my own design today.  I have a good idea of what I want to do, now I just need to time it out and find the right supplies, which is a challenge when you live in Ruraldom, Nowheresville.  Now don’t get me wrong, I love it here, but when it comes to buying art supplies the choices are slim to none.  Which means trekking to Blacksburg, an hour away.

I can’t tell you what I am drawing, but I can tell you that it has been an interesting process and I have to learn to be quicker and make every stroke count.  I get into the details too much.  Michelangelo would have a tough time doing this!  So I now have two HUGE art pieces taped to my studio wall, waiting for me to decide “what’s next?”  Good question!  One I have to find the right music and I think I have a song that is appropriate.  Two I have to get some black cloth and white chalk.  Three I have much to do!  🙂  Pray for me to be led by the Holy Spirit and keep checking back for progress!  See ya!

About godw1nz

I am the mom of three beautiful daughters, wife to a genius, sister to a teacher, sis-in-law to an engineer, daughter to a yankee and a rebel, and a woman chasing God. I love to read, draw and be with my family. If the reading inspires me, then I draw what I read. Almost everything I draw is based around or about Jesus Christ. I attend church at First United Methodist Hillsville. Ronnie Collins is my associate pastor, also a blogger here. I love the Lord with all my heart and I hope what you see here will inspire your heart.
